comfort zone.

i am uncomfortable in elevators. a small, enclosed box tests the limits of my mild claustrophobia, and and my discomfort is increased by the addition of people. sharing an elevator with a group of strangers is not only awkward. it also decreases the size of my personal bubble and creates a heightened anxiety about whether the doors will open or if we will all just be stuck together in a cramped box. every time i enter an elevator, empty or full, i step slightly out of my comfort zone.
unless there is a dance floor and a disco ball.
