When I first came to the US, I was completely out of my comfort zone. Not only did I move to halfway across the world, but I was in a new country with a language I could barely understand, let alone speak. For roughly the first year, it was hard to adjust to living in a new country. However, learning a new language at the age of 10 is not as hard as it would be for an adult, and so I was able to speak relatively fluent English in about a year. It was difficult adjusting to a totally new environment, but once I overcame that milestone I was able to continue living my new life in America.
